After Writing and Directing award winning short movies at Berlin & Toronto Film Festivals, Gary set up ‘Waking the Dead’ as Pilot Director for the BBC; a two hour, cold case series that ran for 8 years, winning the International Emmy for best Drama Series
Gary also Pilot Directed the very successful UK TV show M.I.T. (Murder Investigation Team) for the main Network station ITV, gaining great critical success.
He was nominated as ‘Best Director’ for his debut Feature Film ‘Sugarhouse’ starring Andy Serkis at the Edinburgh Film Festival.
Gary was discovered when he was 12yrs old, by Sir Cameron Mackintosh (Les Miserables) who immediately gave him the Acting role of ‘Artful Dodger’ in ‘Oliver’ . Gary then went on attain huge success as a leading Actor in many Movies and TV shows culminating in ‘Soldier Soldier’ with his death episode gaining 17.8 million viewers.
Because of Gary’s extensive Acting and Directing career he is now living in Los Angeles working with some ‘A’ list Actors & Writers developing high-end drama projects.
He is delighted to have just signed on to do ‘The Following’ starring Kevin Bacon & James Purefoy, to be shot in New York in the fall.
